COST ME THOUSANDS IN MEDICAL BILLS!! April 21, 2011
Reviewer: Jonathan Cole from Dallas, TX

Had Daily severe headaches. I found out after having 2 ER visits, multiple CT scans, MRI's and even a spinal tap that it was Muscle Milk chocolate light that was giving me these headaches. I spent over $1000 in my co-insurance and copays. Don't ask what the total medical bills were that my insurance took care of.

The headaches started after I began drinking 1 or 2 of these premixed protein drinks a day. After 3 months of medical testing and continuous pain I stopped drinking this and the headaches stopped - Like clockwork. Im not allergic to anything and never had migrains or headaches before. BE CAREFUL WITH THIS!! It would be nice to get not only my money back but reimbursement for my medical costs!

I'm not full of crap either. This was a no-brainer after i Stopped drinking this and realized it was the cause the entire time.

PLEASE BE MINDFUL IF CONSUMING THIS PRODUCT!!

Thank goodness for Muscle Milk March 15, 2011
Reviewer: Trevy Trev from Canada

I am 29 and have begun seriously working out for the first time in Aug 2010. I am quite lean (125 lbs) and have a strong desire to put on muscle. I've read all about the pros and cons of using protein supplements and decided to take the plunge.

To my dismay I discovered almost every protein supplement I tried, I would have an absolutely horrible physical reaction in the form of nausea, stomach cramps, and REALLY bad diahrrea. I would like to note that I am allergic to seafood and peanuts and made absolutely sure the protein I was taking was free of anything I was allergic to.

Then I tried Muscle Milk and the rest is history .. no nausea, no diahrrea, no cramps...I was literally shocked my body responded so well to this protein. My favorites are Chocolate and Mint Chocolate Chip.

Good luck to those who have encountered the same issues as I had when looking for a good protein. If Muscle Milk doesn't agree with your system (as some reviews have stated) keep trying different brands until you find the right one. In Canada at the GNC Store you can exchange an opened bottle of supplements until you are satisfied with your purchase.

Great Stuff December 29, 2010
Reviewer: Bart from Arkansas

I have been using Muscle Milk for 4 months, with no side effects.
I have one in the morning 7am and one for lunch 1pm. I am using these as a meal replacement.
When I started, I weighed close to 300 lbs, now after the 4 months, I have dropped 50 lbs. I work out 3-5 times a week. 45 minutes treadmill (cardio) and 20 minutes on weights. I work out before lunch and take a Muscle Milk right after work out.
I feel great and love the product. I have been building muscle, but that is probably more from the work outs. Like I said, I use the product as a meal replacement and and help the muscles a little bit.

Reviewer: Billy from Indiana

for starters i get 4.96 lbs of mm powder at supplementwarehouse.com for 40$ & as long as you order all of your supplements at the same time the s&h is reasonable. i also take no xplode & cell mass. i take 1 mm shake around lunch time & then no xplode 45 mins before my workout. then i have a mm shake during my workout & cell mass after & i love it. ive tried all kinds of protein suppliments & have found this combo to be the best & have actually lost more fat while using muscle milk than with other proteins & havent experienced any side effects.

Best Protein Shake! September 09, 2010
Reviewer: Cristina from New York

I've been taking Muscle Milk Light in Vanilla Creme (lactose free) for almost a year now. I've had absolutely NO side effects at all. I am on a pretty strict diet consisting mostly of high protein and low carbs and eating every two hours. I mix 2 scoops with 12oz of Lactaid milk (as I'm lactose intollerant) and it tastes just like cake batter!

I've gotten a few girls @ work hooked on it:) With a balanced diet and discipline I've noticed my body taking the shape I've been working for :)

Muscle Milk helped me! August 28, 2010
Reviewer: Steve from USA

Had a problem with getting tired and having my muscles start breaking down and never getting any stronger. I do a lot of physical work for my job and i need something that will allow me to work and not be so sore its painful. Muscle Milk has helped me be less sore, gain muscle (because i do a lot of heavy pushing and lifting), and generally maintain an active lifestyle! I was also having trouble getting enough protein before from foods because it's hard to eat as much meat and other foods to get the protein you can get in a shake of muscle milk without your stomach hurting (at least for me). I have one or two or three shakes a day depending on soreness and activity. I am speaking for the premade shakes btw sold in 11oz cardboard 4 packs. I have not tried the powder, i got sick of other powders never dissolving and getting gross chunks happening. Which reminds me of my final point, that this tastes worlds better than other protein mixes i've had and even much better than the other premade drinks. If you find one that tastes better, let me know! I like the vanilla more but get chocolate as well to mix it up. Anyway, that's how it's been working out for me, wonderfully!

Not muscle builder but muscle food August 20, 2010
Reviewer: Anonymous from Anytown, AT 55555

Seems there is a bit of confusion as to what MM is. People are bragging about 10 pounds of muscle or other BS claims as this is a supplement to help reintroduce protein for muscle regeneration not building mass. Others claim to be chemists or whatever else they can think of (on some sites) yet no answers. You're confusing this with a steroid. What it does is gives your muscles fuel if taken prior to workout and the proteins help regenerate the muscle postworkout. As all claim to be body builders you should already understand that when you work out you are tearing down and stressing your muscles then they rebuild with rest. Protein helps with the process and you'll notice less soreness in the muscles you just worked. For acne and all, most people will have acne because you're using equipment others are. In my gym it is up to the person to clean it down after each use or you get probation or removed. I have never had any issues. Stomach problems can be due to a poor diet. Acne... if you're teen guess what... part of life. This is a supplement and people need to remember that NOT a muscle building steroid. If you want to know what the ingredients are and if they are "good" or "bad" take it to the pharmacist, if nothing else they can point you into organic options as well.

Tastes Great, But Makes Me Sick August 02, 2010
Reviewer: Michelle from Hawai'i

I've tried this (low-fat chocolate peanut butter) for 2 days. The first day I got what I thought was a stomach virus: bloating, gas, nausea, lack of energy. It wore off with time, exercise, and a healthy meal. The second day it gave me the same symptoms along with a bad headache...I ended up sleeping for an hour because I felt so sick. I won't be taking it any more because it makes me sick. I gave it 2 stars for the flavor only. It tastes really good with soymilk and ice blended, though it is really sweet. I did a review search on it to see if there is a recall because of the symptoms, and found that it affects others the same. There should at least be a warning. I gotta trust my body's reaction and toss it.

Good Supplement but.. July 13, 2010
Reviewer: Disapointed from Pittsburgh, PA USA

Muscle Milk is a good supplement, comparable to some high end powders. For a powder i would say the taste is great, closest to an actual milkshake i have ever had.

Unfortunately the stuff makes me break out so i have to stop using it... what good is being muscular if your muscles are covered with zits?

Muscle Milk Review July 13, 2010
Reviewer: Andrew from Atlanta, GA

I love the stuff, I've been on it for three weeks. My goal is to cut fat and still maintain my muscle mass and it's working perfectly. I'm down 15 pounds in three weeks and my strength is actually increasing. Mix it with water, taste is great and you take a lot less calories in. Helps build strong lean muscle and cut fat at the same time, recommend it to anyone no matter what your fitness goals are.

It's good stuff if mixed right April 05, 2010
Reviewer: Anonymous from Anytown, AT 55555

I know some folks complain about the taste but it's the BEST tasting thing if you mix it with two percent milk. First off, I don't put alot of milk so it comes out pretty rich and creamy. Second off, if you're only mixing a whole scoop with 2/3rds of a cup of milk it's not like the milk is going to kill you with the little bit of extra fat. I run for an hour a day on the treadmill and do a mix of about 300 crunches and situps. It's not like you're drinking it as a regular drink so you can easily gulp it down with a little bit of milk. Problem solved with low-fat milk if you're not lactose intolerant.

Pleasantly surprised! February 24, 2010
Reviewer: Anonymous from Anytown, AT 55555

I'm a naturally slim 20 year old guy. I workout 3-4 times a week for a few hours and have trouble bulking up due to my lack of essential muscle-building nutrients in my diet. Looking to the summer ahead, I knew I wanted a nice buffer bod to show off and had no choice but to find a good supplement. I went with Muscle Milk because of the good reviews I've read and heard. I never took anything like it before so this was all new to me.

I finally purchased a 2.5 pound container of Cookies & Cream Muscle Milk almost two weeks ago now. First time tasting it, I just got some water out of my fridge and added it in. Unfortunately the water wasn't cold enough so it was lukewarm which sorta threw the taste off. (probably not the best tasting thing when not cold)

I didn't give up though. Next morning I got another glass of water (which I measured out to be about 10 oz) and stuck it in the freezer for about 15 mins. I took the cup out and the water was nice and cold which helped the muscle milk to actually taste like a REAL milkshake. Very surprised by how much I'm liking the taste; especially considering how picky I am. If I can get it down (and enjoy it) ANYONE can. So with some cold water, this stuff is good. Problem averted! Taste test: passed.

Now does it actually WORK??? Well, it's been almost two weeks now like I said. I've already noticed a boost in my endurance. Maybe it's just a mental thing but I'm finding my workouts to be less strenuous which has in turn allowed me to work out harder (added more weight) and longer (went from 30 min sessions to 1 hour sessions with even more energy to burn). My joints feel looser and muscles are surprisingly less tight after each work. I feel invigorated.

Have I seen RESULTS? It's only been two weeks but I'm actually noticing some minor results. My arms specifically have been starting to bulk up a bit (biceps and triceps in particular). Shoulders are looking nice and sculpted along with my back. I still have a long way to go until I reach my ultimate goal but I'm definitely on the right track. At this rate, I should definitely see some nice improvements come summer in 4-5 months.

By no means is this a miracle drink. Your expectations have to be realistic. You're not going to drink this and BOOM become one of those hard bodies you've always admired. It doesn't work that way. It's not designed to work that way. What it does accomplish, though, helps you to further your progress on your way to building a better body. You will have the nutrients you need to improve your workouts which will essentially improve your body in the long-run.

Stick with a steady routine, follow the directions, work out on a semi-regular basis like me and you can get your money's worth out of this product. I'm definitely no gym rat or jock; just an everyday slim guy trying to add some muscle. With some good workouts and commitment to a new routine (muscle milk drink at night before bed and 1 hour or so before a workout) I will be on my way to a new and improved me. You can do it too. I was skeptical but I am pleasantly surprised by the progress already.

Best I have tried so far February 21, 2010
Reviewer: Patty from Plymouth, MA

I use 1 scoop at night before bed everyday. I use Designer Whey Chocolate during the day (fewer calories). LOVE this stuff. If I could drink it all the time I would. I mix it with water, ice chips and a scoop of matcha tea powder (not a fan of the taste of matcha but love the benefits). Mixed in my little blender it is fabulous. Don't understand those who say it is "the worst tasting"...just don't get it, best tasting one I have ever tried!

Trying it out. August 07, 2009
Reviewer: EFD702 from Richmond, KY

I recently bought a variety pack (chocolate, cookies and cream, and vanilla) of muscle milk to try it out. It cost me like $25 (before gold card savings) at GNC and I just wanted to see if it was worth all the hype. I'm taking it at nights on days I lift about an hour before bed and the following morning for breakfast to aid with recovery. It's not a post workout protein, so it should aid somewhat the way I'm using it. I'll stick to using Optimum 100% Whey Natural post workout.

Reviewer: Anonymous from MN

Muscle Milk is not a post workout protein. The majority of the protein in muscle milk is casein which will turn into a gelatin like substance in your stomach and release slowly, which is not what you want for a post workout drink. Take muscle milk in the evenings before bed. I recommend MM light because the reduced fat content, but realize that these are good fats in both mm and mm light. I just take light to stay lean. Not a post workout protein!

Yes, you are packing on the pounds in a short period of time but its not muscle, but fat from the high fat content and water weight from the high potassium and sodium content. Stick to whole food instead or low fat, no sugar high quality protein powder.

OK so you take muscle milk before you workout you get pumped up excited okay!! Then you start burping or just annoyed the whole time you are working out.. So what you need to do is take a supplement which i take is d-bol an s-lab substant that is not steroids but an awsome muscle builder fat burner, then after working out i take muscle milk which banana is great taste balances everything cause your muscle is thriving for source of protein i eat anything i want besides beer, soda!! Oh and redbull....heartburn waiting to happen it is good though but. yep

its ok January 07, 2009
Reviewer: Chris from Anytown, AT 55555

I've gone through two big tubs of muscle milk taking the correct amount before and after workout like it says on the directions. My end results are I've gained some strength, but i think that is from simply lifting weights. Ive noticed my face breaking out more than usual. I am 16 years old, going on 17, a sophmore in highschool playing on the ice hockey team looking to increase in size and speed, not neccecarily gaining fat weight, but muscle weigh . Creitine has been recommended numerous times.. but i don't quite understand. what should i do? What formula would best fit me

and got my bench rep to 255 along with the help from other supplements as well but I still stand by this stuff. Jared 17 years old

great product November 30, 2008
Reviewer: Jonathan from KCMO

The taste is comparable to most. I was using whey protein previous to MM. I had longer recovery periods and wasnt seeing as much gain. For me this product works great. But lets get real. If you load up on supplaments and only work out 2 hours a week you are gonna get fat(er). Being or getting healthy takes discipline and hard work, suppaments help to make your efforts go farther, they are not a replacment for them. If this product is making you fat quit mixing it with twinkies and step up your cardio. As for me I love this stuff

Great!!! October 12, 2008
Reviewer: Favi0es from USA

First of all, many people say you can't gain weight and lose fat at the same time. The truth is, the biggest fat burners in the body are the muscles. To gain muscle mass, you need fat. Its not like Muscle Milk has an insane amount of fat, but has enough to feed your muscles. This protein has fast and slow digesting proteins, which makes it ideal post-workout and anytime during the day.

Good with drawbacks August 30, 2008
Reviewer: Jon from San Francisco

This is not just a protein powder, it is practically a meal replacement. Lots of vitamins and minerals in addition to protein, I think they also add taurine. The fat content is high but as long as you usually eat healthy, and use the supplement sparingly (not every day) it should not be a problem.

I use an all cytosport supplement program-- PreFormance before working out or swimming or cycling, Cytomax with a bit of extra PreFormance during, and MuscleMilk after. I think this combination allows you to get an intense workout and get the nutrition to really maximize it, without the need to work out or take supplements every day.

The downside to MuscleMilk, as other reviewers agree, gas. Do not take this stuff if you will be around people from like 3 to 6 hours later. Otherwise it's a great product that works.

Reviewer: Ripped Machine from Awesome town, VA USA

Awesome Stuff!!! I would say that i have been taking MM for about 2 months now and have gotten bigger, stronger, faster, and more quick on my feet. MM has made me look like a ripped machine.

With all products though, MM works different for everyone. Some like the way it works for them while others do not. Everyone's body is very different from everybody else's so you just have to find a protein supplement that works for you.

CONCLUSION: Awesome stuff

Using MM For Over 1 Year Now April 24, 2008
Reviewer: Doug from Florida

I had been stuck at 185-190lbs for many years. I started using MM as a post workout drink with Shotgun energy drink during the workouts. I am not at 214lbs, though probably4-5lbs more fat as well so fair to say I have gained close to 20lbs of muscle in a little more then a year. I attribute this an improved and consistant supplementation and diet program (eating 4-5 times a day) since my workouts are not all that different then I had been doing over the years.

Bottom Line: MM Works as advertised.

THE TRUTH ABOUT MUSCLE MILK April 17, 2008
Reviewer: Dom from Long island, New York

OK first off everyone is different so if it doesnt work for you it doesnt mean its bad some body types are different i would deff recommend this product to the people who ant gain weight easy, it will boost your weight quite a bit. FOr people who are trying to lose weight and build muscle at the same time listen its nearly impossable to do both now there are the few who can do it but unless you have all day to spend in the gym listen to me in order to gain mass or muscle you have to pack on a little bit of fat to but thats ok the fat can be burned off down the rode. this stuff is diffenitly a great way of getting protein i have been using it for a little over a year and a half and i have without a doubt noticed what MM can do i am bigger than i have ever been before i bench around 350 before muscle milk i did around 275. but i have to be honest i did gain a few extra pounds of fat in the process but in the end its well worth it. our bodys are a science and you have to learn but your body is able to handle i wouldnt suggest that you stricly use this product use whey protein eat healthy eggs, tuna, grilled or boiled chicken, steak is good every now and then good snacks are almonds, sunflower seeds, peanut butter on whole wheat bread. i would also recommend that water be your only other form of fluid intake. the truth is it has its negatives and positives in my opinon what in the world doesnt but in this case i think the positives outweight the negatives. again its just my opinion but i have been workin out for about 11 years now so hope this has been helpful..

Im 16 years old almost 17 and I had barely any muscle at 114 lbs. I was on my high school's wrestling team which put me into hardcore shape, but with the limits of not going over my weight class. After wrestling I began eating and eating but still wasn't gaining a lb until I started HEAVY lifting and drinking muscle milk I weight about 125 now and pretty ripped but still skinny but thats okay because I might as well enjoy it while I can. Muscle Milk tastes great and works really well. I'd suggest it to everyone.

Great protein March 05, 2008
Reviewer: Adrian from Blythe, CA USA

I first used muscle milk about a year. I recently discovered "Muscle Milk Light".It only has 195 calories gives you 25g of protein and taste just as great as the orignal. Now if your watching your weight muscle milk light is for you. Someone that has heavy workouts and burns calories like crazy, might want to stick to the orignal. I can feel the fatigue through out the week with "Light". You might want to make up your calories with meals.

contains a good amount of protein and tastes good. This is obviously not just a magical muscle gainer you have to work out when you take it the only reason it has high calories is because it is replace some you should have burned off. i put two scoops chocolate flavor in about four cups milk and a big scoop of no salt peanut butter then a banana, and some egg white then blend it for about 30 seconds tastes great (the peanut butter has a lot of extra protein and makes it taste like a peanut butter cup).

Honest February 12, 2008
Reviewer: Echelon from Greenville, SC

People will go back and forth. Its funny cause the people who like it are pretty chill and let you know what it does for you. Then you have people who "know it all" and freak out on here about HOW BAD IT IS. Dumb. Its protein. It is very good. Tastes great. Its not going to boost your bench 100lbs. Its not going to make you a freak. Its not going to make you obese. As previously stated, take it in the right dose. If you are looking to lose weight---dont take it four times a day. And the people who say its bad and they use their "AWESOME" protein which im sure has its negatives as well, they probably put peanut butter or some other extra in theirs. Which actually exceeds calories already. When i run out of muscle milk i will probably get another just to switch off and then after that one is done I will probably return to MM. Your body can only consume 35 grams of protein. So dont load it up. Its 300 calories. Not 3200. So people who are intent about freaking you out....dont worry. MM is great and has GOOD fats. Im not trying to convince you that MM is for you... I like it, it works for me. I am a personal trainer and bust my ass in the gym. Reward yourself with a great protein drink. I use to be 350lbs. So I have potential to be fat. I dont have a hyper metabolism. I just work hard in the gym.

I agree with most that the fat content can make you some what wary of the product. I have been taking muscle milk regulary for about 3 months now GNC has had a good sale on it for a while $25 for the 2.7 lb tub not only have I been able to continue to lower my body fat % but it has also shown to be a great post workout supplement. I've seen gains in all of my lifts an am convinced that the fat content in it is not a issue. Ive had best results by taking one scoop mixed with another regular whey protein taste is great and I am overall very happy with the product results.

If its not working, its because youre not using it right. January 03, 2008
Reviewer: Morrissey023_ from San Diego, CA USA

Ill tell you this much and this goes with any supplement, if you take anything with protein and amino acids, there is a chance you might break out.. Its just an overload to your system and your hormones get all rallied up.. Hence’ acne breakouts. I’ve been into sport nutrition for a very long time.. ahh! Back when ephedra was available in most sports supplements. Muscle milk is a very good product BUT!! Just like any other product, everyone is different and you need to know how your body reacts and then measure your intake and see what works best for you. As for myself’ I have a slow metabolism and only take one dose instead of the three recommended and it works great. So I decided to test it out and get off of it for 3 months and WOW! Did I notice a difference. Does it work? Yes! But only if you use it correctly.. Oh! And one more thing, If you use any protein supplement and don’t work out’ you will gain weight.

Muscle Milk worked wonders for me January 01, 2008
Reviewer: Will Bowden from Tacoma, WA USA

Muscle Milk tastes awesome, makes me feel like it's actually working, and when i last used it in conjunction with creatine i had massive gains. The reviews out there who said it had too much fat must not know a whole lot about nutrition. There's a difference between unhealthy fat and healthy fat. Such as Omega 3,6, and 9. Most of the fat in muscle milk will do the opposite of what you think. Just like the container says. I highly reccomend this protien. It works wonders, tastes great, and is packed with nutritional goodness.

You gotta know when your body needs it. AND... December 11, 2007
Reviewer: Ronny N. from Denver, Colorado 3oh3

figure out how much your body needs. At least that's how I got it to work for me. I didn't know too much about the product at first but a friend of mine introduced me to it about a year ago. I have been taking it on and off, depending on food intake and energy output. But yeah, just like everything else in life you want consistent, as in, the way you look... you gotta keep the MM consistent in your diet. Or not, but I firmly believe it works if you do. I'm preachin to the choir here but let me again remind you, everyone's body works differently. You need to know what part of your day you need to take it and how much energy output you're gonna use so you know exactly how much to take. I can't make it to the gym 5 days a week but after weeks of experimenting, I found the right amount to consume and the times that would be best to take it, depending on my workout schedule AND routine. I'm not saying there's something in my head telling me I need muscle milk, it's more like my body telling me. I eat normal food, I try to healthy food, whenever I'm hungry... and I eat till i'm satisfied, not till i'm full. Tough luck for those of you who aren't satisfied 'till you're full(that's probably where all the extra weight's comin from.) But when I do eat a lot of food I work harder in the weight room on those days. Take advantage of everything you put into your body! Don't let it turn into fat. I think that the "good fats" in MM work for my body. It's very important NOT to be a lazy slob and lay around all day. If you want something that produces results try it out, but do it right. Also, take a few days off while experimenting with it, tweak and toggle your workouts take a day or two off MM, or even working out, first try the directions. I personally just use MM and only MM. I believe in it. Peace everyone, hope it works for you and lets you put muscle where you want to put it.

Tastes very good November 23, 2007
Reviewer: Paul from Boston MA

Best tasting protein drink out there.

In the past I have had digestive trouble (gas, bloated feeling, etc) from protein/whey drinks.. I found that Muscle Milk is less trouble than the others. And I found that the Orange Creme flavor of Muscle Milk mixes perfect with an orange-flavor fiber powder supplement. Just a tablespoon of the fiber powder added to the Muscle Milk = vastly improved digestion and no feelings of bloat/discomfort. You can use Metamucil or a drugstore generic brand.

My other tip on Muscle Milk: for better mixing without a blender, add very little water at first, and mix it into a smooth paste (like cake batter). Then add the rest of the water/milk and keep mixing. No clumps!

but what i do want to know is, what supplements do you recomond to your patients, that you feel do work and don't have probaganda???

once again, thanks a lot Roger,

and sorry if my bais confused anyone.

ps. since i am bulking i feel it has worked fine by me, i did loose some fat, but that could be because i added some cardio.

Most reviews have fallen victim to propaganda November 13, 2007
Reviewer: Roger A. from Charlotte, NC

Muscle Milk (Cytosport) is the ultimate propaganda machine. I am a registered dietician and I construct diets for many well known athletes (including bodybuilders and powerlifters). I would never have one of my clients on this stuff, even during an all-out bulking phase. Most the reviewers below me have fallen victim to their MCT "fat burning" propaganda. Maxx specifically, I would like to address:

Maxx: "many people complain to me that muscle milk has too much fat, and saturated fat. but in reality, i want u to look at the bottom of the ingredents, and it will say, "** 80% of saturated fats are in the form of medium chain triglycerides (MCT's)."

Yes it does say that, but is it true? Look at the older labels (they changed the labels after a few of us called them on the discrepancy). Turn to the back and read where it says "20% of human milk and MUSCLE MILK lipids are from MCT's". Lipids are fats, the total fat in Muscle Milk is 18g per serving. 20% of that is 3.6g... meanwhile 80% of the saturated fat would be 6.4g... which number is it? Why can't they get their story straight?

Maxx: "MCT's are typically burned as energy and show little or no propensity for storage as body fat or as a contributor to arteriosclerosis."

Me: Again your just reading the label and falling victim to false label claims. MCT's are typically burned as energy. HOWEVER, by adding MCT's to your blood stream and burning them you prevent your body from accessing stored lipids (fats) during the course of your workout as easily. Thus MCT's do indirectly cause you to gain fat because you will be burning stored fats at a much slower rate.

Maxx: "if u did research, u will know that MCT is probably one of the best fat burners with no side effects, and will not get u fat. so if u r getting fat check ur diet."

Me: I understand that you have been fooled my MM, but please don't pretend you have done any research other than reading the label. Since when is a saturated fat considered a "fat burner"? MCT's will cause you to keep your stored bodyfat, and yes they do have PLENTY of side effects. The "no side effects" claim is outrageous and really flat out dangerous. MCT's in large amounts can stress the liver and kidneys, and they can also raise serum cholesterol and triglyceride levels, along with the hormonal effects with the excess saturated fats (as detailed by those further down complaining of acne). Though I agree if you are dieting and working out and still gaining fat you should check your diet. But the first step should be to remove Muscle Milk and use a better protein/ carbohydrate meal replacement that includes vitamins, fiber, low sugar content, and a moderate amount of GOOD fats (sunflower oil, flaxseed, palm fruit, safflower, etc.).

I was innitailly worried about the fat content in it as i was truying to lose the wiehgt. Right now I mix one sccoop of muscle milk with one scoop of regular low fat isolates and it still taste awesome...!! And you get all the benefits of muscle milk. But now that i have seen weight loss and muscle gain I am less afraid to just be drinking the muscle milk alone. It is the best shit on the market.! Ive notice as well that Xyience used by the UFC has created Muscle Meal...a complete copy of muscle milk. It is exactly the same stuff with tthe same claims...IF Xyience uses there formula its gootaaa be good for you PERIOD

I want to clear something up for people who are worried about gaining weight with this(if your goal is to lose). Muscle weighs more than fat, with respect to volume. Just because the scale says u put on weight doesn't mean u gained fat. Pay more attention to the mirror than to the scale. I am a slim person, but once I really got into lifting i slimmed down more but I also put on weight, simply because muscle weighs more. So don't worry so much about what the scale is telling you.

Great Product September 07, 2007
Reviewer: Get Fit from Atlanta, GA

Muscle Milk is a great product. I have been using it for 5 weeks and have dropped 9 pounds. I love the Stawberry flavor. I only mix one scoop per serving to cut the fat and I add liquid egg whites to give me extra protein. And of course I am weight training and doing cardio 4-5 times a week. I am also eating more clean. I am really starting to see results (fat loss and definition).

AWSOME August 29, 2007
Reviewer: HP from San Fran, CA

I have been using Muscle Milk for a few weeks now and i really like the product. I dont recommend using as a post workout drink, but perfect for before and sleep. As far as flavor goes, I like chocolate mint the best. Banana Creme wasnt bad, Cookies and Cream didnt taste like anything, Root Beet Float was so so, basic chocolate is great too, but I like the chocolate mint more.

Great if used properly August 27, 2007
Reviewer: Sean M. from USA

I take ALOT of different protein supplements, and have found MUSCLE MILK to be highly effective when taken right before bed. It does seem to keep your body in an "anabolic" state while you sleep (as opposed to a "catabolic" state it would normally be in). It feeds the muscles while burning fat simultaniously so I wake up looking trim and pumped in the morning. It tastes really good although I find it to be a little clumpy unless put in a blender, but thats really not a big deal at all. The key to most protein supplements is when and how frequently you take them, for me MUSCLE MILK is strictly for bedtime.

Switched to Muscle Milk Light instead of straight Protein (Isopure) and "Tight" by San and blasted it in 8 days!!!! NO BS ... the stuff works! Even though I was getting about 50 grams less a day of Protein I felt a definite Surge in strength and size.. lets see what 5 weeks yields.

Great Gainer, Great Taste August 13, 2007
Reviewer: Matt from Denver, CO USA

I've been taking Muscle Milk for maybe a month now... I had just gotten back into lifting at that time also. I lifted in high school, and haven't lifted since then, over a year. I weighed 155 lbs., 6' tall before my first workout. I workout three times a week, M W F, and take a rest on weekends. With my want to gain weight, I still only take MM right after workouts. I WEIGH 170 lbs. now! I have grown about 1/4 inch too, and am still getting bigger and stronger. I usually mass anyways, and am naturally built, but 15 pounds in a month?? Oh ya, this stuff works! Not a sign of fat gain, as MM fat is good fat. Yes, we all need some fat in our diets. I plan to start drinking before workout too, but still only take it on days I work out. Tastes great too, even though I don't like banana flavored products. But taste shouldn't matter to anyone.

Great Stuff August 05, 2007
Reviewer: Session87 from Orange County, CA

First off, anyone who is gaining fat from this product is only drinking it as a replacement to the ice cream shop milkshakes they were drinking previously. Apparently you idiots are not using this powder as an exercise/workout supplement, but as a tasty beverage instead. At 350 calories per serving you are getting about 1/6th of the DRV based on only a 2,000 calorie diet. If you are trying to gain strength and muscle, you should be at an even higher caloric intake. Stop bitching about putting on weight and actually WORKOUT when you take this product and you will DEFINITELY see the results you want.

Oh yeah and some of the flavors are delicious, I recommend chocolate mint, orange cream, horchata, and vanilla. Try mixing with skim milk if it tastes too powdery.

Great stuff if you use it right July 10, 2007
Reviewer: Ram from Arizona

I started using muscle milk about a week and a half ago. I'm already noticing results similar to creatine: since I'm in the mindset of pushing myself hard 6+ days a week, it allows me to push harder, without even noticing till afterwards. I've lost fat in some places and gained it in others, so I should probably get back to doing cardio daily. I have, however, made as much visible gain in definition in that week and a half as I did from a month of working out w/o any supplements. And it tastes delicious. I like the naturals because I'm allergic to splenda, the stevia takes some getting used to, but once you're used to it, you literally don't taste it at all, tastes just like a chocolate shake, even mixed with just water (which I do so I get fewer calories). The fat concerns me a little, I've been thinking about mixing it 50/50 with 100%whey so I can keep the taste but have less fat per serving and have it last longer.

Bottom line is: if you work out daily and actually work up a decent sweat (i.e. an hour or more of actual work) then you'll notice a gain and love it. If you don't exercise regularly or seriously, I could see it being potentially detrimental due to the extra fat and calories.

Mix it July 02, 2007
Reviewer: Kenny from Saint Simons Island Georgia. USA

Muscle Milk is a great product, I am 51. I have been working out since I was 15. I mix MM with ON whey, cytogainer, ON casein, or ON egg protein. I use one serving in the morning with one serving of casein, and one serving of whey. 74 grams of protein most of it is slow release. At night i take a half serving of MM with one serving of casein and one of egg. Before and after workouts I use whey and sometimes a half serving of cytogainer. I own a Lawn Service business, its products like this that allow me to gain weight at all. I think most people need to read about fatty acids and how beneficial they are.

Great Shake June 25, 2007
Reviewer: Blake from Georgia

I'm 15 and just started using muscle milk when right when spring practice and now summer workouts of football.. We do all the major lifts and minor stuff.. But my Bench, Squat, and Power Clean have all went up remarkably.. I have gained about maybe 10 pounds of lean muscle to my body..

The only thing bad to say about this product is the gas you get when you start using this product. They were terrible smelling.

Even though i have only tried one flavor (banana creme) i feel its safe to say that this stuff tastes awesome. I am so ready to take this stuff at night before i go to bed. They sure did a great job creating Muscle Milk..

I got the vanilla creme kind, and it smells like cake batter. and when I mix it into water, there's always big gross chunks of it floating in the bottom because it never mixes in. and the taste is okay but it kinda makes me wanna barf. next time I'll try strawberry.

Pros DO use Muscle Milk May 29, 2007
Reviewer: Stephen from San Francisco, CA USA

First off, I started taking Muscle Milk about 1 month ago. Prior to that I was taking Syntha-6. The only thing I do recommend is taking a pure Whey protein post-workout (I use ON Whey, 2 scoops), although taking MM should suffice. I just think a quick injection of Protein and BCAAs shows benefits. I drink 2-3 MMs, one of which I take at midnight.

The fat content is not what most fully understand in these postings. You absolutely need fat to gain muscle, and this is good fat, not like McDonalds fat. I was skeptical at first when taking it thinking that I would gain weight. I did gain 5 pounds in 3 weeks, and it was all muscle. After drinking MM, you do feel a bit full, which makes you wonder if you're gaining fat. After going to the bathroom at work to get my flex on I've realized I've gained pure muscle.

The great thing about MM is the casein and glutamine portion, although it does consist of Whey. The casein protein feeds your muscles all day and night, which is why I take one in the morning, one before workout and one at midnight (sometimes swapping with MM oats).

In reference to the poster about you'll never see a pro using this stuff. Wow! You are a fool. Watch a Raider game sometime and look in the locker rooms when the interviews are going, you'll see it MM galore.

You DO need to watch what you eat, because this is a meal replacement (for me atleast, at 3 meals and 2-3 muscle milks inbetween). Eat healthy, lower the carbs, and watch your muscles swell.

I seem to like the prepackaged MMs better then the powder. The powder is more like moist cake mix. I do not recommend mixing it with milk, because it just made it too damn rich for my taste.

I just wish it was cheaper, and I sometimes wonder if I should try the generic Myoplex version.

taste??? May 24, 2007
Reviewer: Barrett from Williamsburg, VA USA

I am really surprised to see how many people say this tastes good. I got MM natural a few days ago and Im not looking forward to drinking thick overly sweet chocolat crap.

I prefer my 100per. Whey protein. Not to mention that the taste is the least important thing when it comes to it. After reading though I am very concerned about the fat aspect. I have had a very low fat percent my whole life, and Im 18 now still able to eat whatever I want and maintain a 6 pack. but I will be devastated if this crap messes that up for me.

the real deal May 14, 2007
Reviewer: J from Anytown, AT 55555

Okay, so here is the real deal about this stuff. I've talked to people that work at your typical supplement stores that say muscle milk is bad for you because of the fat content. I can honestly say, that is crap. As long as you stick to a consistent workout plan and throw in some cardio, then you will see results. I finally broke through my bench plateau and I've started getting my abs back. I take it after I work out and right before I go to sleep. I'm sure that if you follow the directions better than I do and exercise correctly you will see the results you want.

be careful with this product May 12, 2007
Reviewer: Ed from New York, NY

The only reason I give two stars is because it tastes good. If you are not cautious this product will put unwanted fat on your body(especially the cytogainer). Fat/caloric content is way to high, you will never see a pro on this stuff. Stick with the low fat version or better yet a healthier/cheaper product. I suggest 100% Whey, Myopro or even the GNC 100%.

Great as a meal replacement May 07, 2007
Reviewer: Will the transformer from Silver CIty, NM

I've been using MM as a meal replacement for the past 5 months (along with OL Greens Protein 8 in 1, a cup of oatmeal, and 1/2 cup of walnuts) for breakfast. It's amazing!. Unlike a lot of lifters I needed to lose fat and have dropped from being 6'4" and 240 lbs to 200lbs without any noticable muscle loss. While not gaining any muscle I've maintained well even with massive fat loss. I definatley recommend MM to anyone who needs to lose fat while maintaining muscle!

I am also an ectomorph, work out 5 times a week, and on the court for about 6 hours a week. I've never had a problem with my midriff until after taking this product for a month. I started noticing fat developing around my abs - which never happened before. Also I don't eat junk & have a 6 pac. I think this product has way too much fat and lipid content in relation to protein. Probably is more a weight gainer than muscle gainer.

Awesome. Mix to keep calories down. March 21, 2007
Reviewer: Jminton1100 from WA

I LOVE THIS SHEEYAT! It is the best tasting protein supplement. I have the same feelings about the high calories though. The 2 major things that I do in order to intake less calories, but keep the great taste of MM is this.

#1) Mix w/ water....not milk (not even FF)

#2) Use 1 SCOOP MM and 1 SCOOP ON Whey protein.

Use 1 scoop of MM also helps to keep the costs down. Whey is much cheaper than MM

This knocks the caloric intake down to 305, it also puts your protein intake up to 40g per serving....AWESOME. But, most importantly... TASTES F*#@9NG GREAT!!! Most people think the same way I do...if it doesn't TASTE good, odds are you won't be consistent drinking it.

If you dont have a real job and have the time to work out 10x a week then muscle milk is great. I am a working professional and manage to get in the gym about 6x a week and suggest the light version as it has FAR less calories and fat. The regular muscle milk will make you gain mass, but also gain body fat% - not a bad idea to load with it for a month or two and then turn that fat into muscle but with summer coming up, i would stick to light to get be more ripped and obtain that beach body.

Taste Great and works even better February 23, 2007
Reviewer: V-man from Michigan USA

Im 21 and have only gotten serious into lifting about 5months ago. I made this choice to get in better condition before i head off to the airforce which is here in about 2months. I did play sports like football till jr yr and wrestled my senior year of high school. So i had some decent natural strength but never participated in the lifting. I used MM alil for cycling and decided to use it with a good vitamin for lifting.

At starting i was only 130lbs at 5'11 with low bf. After 4months i weighed in at 140 and believe im now around 145 right now. I have had high gains in my max in every lift i do. I've definetly seen some good definition in my body and my veins seem wide open during workouts. The taste is even amazing. I switched from chocolate to strawberry/bannana smoothie thou.

The only downside is half the time i seem to have energy and half the time i seem like im not as focused as i want to be. Im thinking of trying somthing like no-xplode with it or some kind of energy/focus booster (anyone have a recomendation?)Also during my start of lifting with MM i always had to sh*t right before i left the locker room before my workout but i dont seem to have that anymore. I even used to be alil gasy on days i lifted but not so much anymore.

I love my MM and when i decide on a product to use it with that will help increse my energy/focus i could see myself becoming a real monster in the gym.

If it helps anyone i got a Mens Health subscription and it helps keep me focused and motivated. Helps with great tips for food and workouts to alternate in once in awhile.

Muscle Milk Makes makes me more sore in recovery?? February 10, 2007
Reviewer: Thom from NJ

I am 41 and recently started lifting weights again regularly after 15 years out of the gym. Muscle milk did help me rebuild strength and muscle tone very quickly, but I was not able to reduce my body fat nomatter how much fat burning carb I did basically every day. Also, I was extremely sore all the time, and this happened after every workout. I switched to a much lower fat content supplement - Nitro Tech for about 2 weeks so to better reduce body fat. Noticed right away that I was not getting nearly as sore, and if anything was working out more with more intensity. Then, I switched back to Muscle Milk when the Nitro Tech tub was gone, and bang all the recovery soreness is back, basically immediately. I'm sure some of this has to do with my age, but also think the Muscle Milk has something to do with it also. Has anyone else experienced this as well? I will post back in a couple of weeks for an update whether this is still happening with MM.

Amazing February 07, 2007
Reviewer: Tim from Lansing, Michigan

Im gonna start off by saying Im 19 and have been lifting for about a 3yrs. I started hardcore lifting about 1yr ago. I am 6'1" and 195 lbs. I started using Muscle Milk about 3 weeks ago. I am lifting/cardio 6 days a week. I get a break on sunday lol. 1 word......amazing. This was the only supplement I have been taking and i have seen ridiculous results. Before i started taking MM I was max benching about 275 Military BP'ing about 170, curling 140, and pull downs were 90.(just some random spec's) Let me just say within 3 days I could see the difference in my strength. Everything started to increase. I am into my 4th week and have seen tremendous gains. I even got a lecture from one of my family members about steroids haha. I would never in my right mind stoop to steroids. I believe that it is all in your dedication. It is all mental. But what i got from MM was beyond dedication. These are my specifics after 3wks: Bench Press=330!!!!, Military BP=220!, Curls=160, and Pull Downs=120!.

I am constantly pushing myself to the limit. The limit where I cant even do a push up or get up and walk after a set. I do this every day. When tomorrow rolls around I am barely sore. Which i think MM has alot to do with since it boosts your bodies natural creatine and nitrogen production.

I really dont know what I am doing to get such tremendous gains. All i know is that I take a scoop of MM in the morning with breakfast before my classes. I then usually go straight to the gym depending on whether or not my girlfriend wants to go. I take 2 scoops immediatly following the workout. I then go over my girlfriends's house and chill, eat lunch, chill, eat dinner. Go to work at night then go to bed. Same routine everyday.

I've taken many kinds of supplements before including NO2 and CE2 together. Another wonderfull combination may i add. I've also taken many different kinds of creatine all of which i think are total crap.MM is the best ive used.

(no2 and ce2 a very close second though).

The whole medium-chain tryglycerides fat thing is misleading. I researched on a medical database and it said that they could cause heart and cardiovascular problems and were not known to burn fat for energy. I did not experience either problems however so I really can't make a conclusion just yet. All I know is that i haven't experienced any increase in fat percentage. I think if you do cardio after your workout then you should be good. The only other cons that MM brought for me was that I had farted constantly for the first week. They werent the pretty smelling ones either. My friends and I had to leave rooms because of them lol.(I read on that medical site that the MCG subjects they tested also had gastrointestinal problems which is where i think it comes from.) I also had a decrease in libido. I found myself not being my normal self.(a horny mother******) I would find my friend down their not being as hard as normal. The other day i couldnt deliver my goods.(if you know what i mean) A very big problem.

In conclusion Muscle Milk has pro's and con's just like every supplement. If you can sacrifice uncontrollabe farting and your pal not standing at full attention for AMAZING strength and size gains than this product is defenitly for you. I defenitly recommend it.

I am also going to be doing a personal study to see if MM is responsible for my decreased libido. So ill probably repost in about a month on that.

Go get your ass some Muscle Milk.

MUSCLE MILKKKKKKK!!!!! January 30, 2007
Reviewer: MILT from Tulsa, Okeehomee

This stuff is awesome! I have been ingesting Prote Powder for years. Some of it is undigestable. Lot's of it turns people into fart monsters. Stomache cramps, loose bowels, tastes like chalk, doesn't mix at all, or just a little.

This stuff!! Mixes awesome! Tastes great! The flavors are stupendous! I take the Mocha Java and mix w/water and let it sit in the freezer until slushy...great treat! If you have a prote powder that you use that is working, but tastes like powder dog poo, I suggest mixing in a couple of tablespoons of MMilk for an awesome flavor burst.

It has helped me put on 35 pretty good lbs in the last 4-5 years. And I'm no bulk monster and have never tried to be. But I get comments all the time about being slim, and solid, even at my advanced old age of 55 goin' on 56.

Hey, it has helped me develope my strength so that I can now outlift the 10-12 year old girls that work out at the same time I do.

Seriously, try this stuff out, especially if you do not like the taste of prote and don't take as much as you should because of the crappy tasting junk out there. It WILL change the way you look, because you will be looking forward to your drink, instead of thinking, "gosh, I gotta drink that junk if I wanta gain".

Yes, it has a big amount of fats but that fat is not supposed to be stored but used as energy for lean muscle growth and honestly it doesn't work. When I used MuscleMilk there is no denying I gained muscle but my body fat % also increased.

This is surprising because my diet never changed only my protien supplement, I will just go back to my old protien supplement the gains may not be as quick as MuscleMilk but I really can't handle that extra body fat % but for those looking to bulk up quickly for maximum gainers I highly recommend this product because the calories are quite high as well.

I forgot to mention the taste is insane!!! Almost addictive, it just taste so damn good...

Depends! January 23, 2007
Reviewer: Jimbob from california, usa

I would say from experience through others that Muscle Milk DOES have more fat in it than it should, but that doesn't necessarily mean its bad. It all depends on "I", since bodies vary from person to person. I would say that this protein is best for hard-gainers and ectomorphs, since they have high metabolisms and can burn fat and lose weight very easily. Even so, fat is a very important part of a bodybuilder's diet and should not be neglected. You need to eat fat to keep your body from storing it!

Best Protein Supplent Ever December 18, 2006
Reviewer: Travis from CA, USA

Pros

1. Great Tasting

2. No digestive problems

3. Noticed improved strengh gains

4. Have gained 10 pounds in the 1.5 months I started taking it. Gains haven't gone to my hips, my pants actually feel a little loose around the waist (32 inches) at 175 pounds 5'8".

5. I recover quicker between workouts and I always have energy for my workouts. I'm on a HIT program and when training 3 work sets to failure on each body part with slow negative/forced reps, it can be demanding and it's hard to push yourself to the max at times. This supplement has improved my workout performance. Gone from 250 pounds in the deadlift to 300 for 5 reps (I never do singles) in the past 1.5 mounths.

Cons.

1. Can be expensive for some.

2. Sometimes it can be a little too sweet for my taste.

Micell Ege December 06, 2006
Reviewer: Jaccque from Texas

As a sports conditioning trainer, read the nutrition labels before buying a product. Muscle Milk is loaded with calories and other fats you do not need, Unless you work out 10 times a week your body will have trouble burning all he fat you are storing with MM. Switch to Micell Edge by Irontek, it taste better too.

MM is dangerous! November 12, 2006
Reviewer: Mike from Dallas

I just stated to use this 2 days ago so I have no results good or bad to report but the one thing I can say is that this stuff is dangerous. Why? Becasue it tastes so damn good I feel like sucking these shakes down all day!

What a treat to drink a drink protien shake and not feel like gagging!

One more plus to that is in the past I was reluctant to mix up a shake becasue I knew the punishment I would ahve to endure by drinking so that resulted in me buying the much more expensive RTD shakes!

With this stuff I am happy to whip up a shake and eager to drink it. (I almost feel guilty like I am eating ice cream or something)

Good stuff!

Fat and misleading label October 28, 2006
Reviewer: Adam Young from Raleigh, NC

"Lean Lipids" are misleading. I used this stuff for 2 months, gained 10 lbs and 2% bodyfat. I have been lifting for 8 years and never gone on a bulking cycle that put on that much fat. After doing the math the muscle gain was only about 3.5 lbs.

The label has an obvious error also. At the bottom of the supplement facts it says 80% of the 8g of saturated fats are MCT's which = 6.4g. Then the Lean Lipids section it says 20% of Muscle Milk's 18g of lipids are MCT's which = 3.6g. Cytosport should get their story straight.

In any case your body will burn off MCT's BEFORE it burns your stored fat. So it indirectly causes you to hold on to stored bodyfat. I'm sticking to the cleaner proteins.

Woof -- Protien Shakes never tasted soooo good! September 05, 2006
Reviewer: Gymdude from West Hollywood, Calif.

I switched to trying MM 7 months ago, from Nitro Tech (which compared to MM is NASTY). I'm 5-11 and weighed 185lbs at start of using MM. Now I'm 230lbs. As others have attested to, the stuff tastes great. I personally prefer the 'naturals' as they taste less sweet. I have recently started using RTD MM, as both Ralphs' and Vons have had two for one sales, and stocked up on it, a bit more pricey than the powder stuff, but you're paying for convenience. Anyway, using MM combined with NO-Xplode before workouts, and Cell Mass following, I literally grew. I've gained 2 inches on my arms, and 2 inches on my chest (18" and 48"). (This was no over-night wonder, either) You have to work your a-- off at the gym. As the muscle grows, so does your strength. I'm no Arnold, but my preacher curls have gone from 50 to 90lbs, tricep pull-downs from 75-125lbs and on the row machine, have gone from 175 to 250...off the scale. I am now into my 2nd week of a cycle incorporating Halodrol-50 and dynadrol, using MM, NO-Xplode and Cellmass. A BIG NOTICEABLE DIFFERENCE! One thing I've learned in my measley 2.5 years of weight training is: no one item is the end all. Muscle Milk is great, as a protien shake. Used in combo with other products, users will be satisfied, as I am!

I stack this Muscle Milk with creatine monohydrate, and ive been getting some very good results. Before i started taking these two supplements i was at 5'7 150 lbs and bench pressing 115 lbs max. Now after about a month. I weigh 165 and I bench press 155. This muscle milk really helped. Please tell me if there is another flavor that tastes extremely good.

Awesome protein shakes. August 05, 2006
Reviewer: DanT from Illinois

I have been a loyal user of ON whey protein for years and recently decided to try MM. Wow, was I suprised. Havent been using it long enough to see any significant gains, but I'm sure to eventually. The greatest thing I have to say is how great this protein tastes. I'm very picky on what I'll drink and this has to be one of the best ever. Mixed with milk the taste was truly unreal. The chocolate, strawberry and banana creme are great. This type of protein blend isnt intended for post workouts because its not used by the body as quickly as, say, whey proteins. But by mixing a scoop of MM's banana creme and a scoop of ON's 100% whey strawberry, I get a great post workout shake that tastes incredible and packs nearly 40 grams of protein. I'll be buying a lot more muscle milk in the future...guaranteed.

Most Amzazing thing i;ve ever had July 19, 2006
Reviewer: Marc from Tallahassee, FL USA

Wow before this, I worked out, but not regularly, and took Whey protein. I thought that was doing well for me but I only gained 8 lbs of muscle in a year. I just started using MuscleMilk because I'm taking summer classes at Florida State and going to the gym is something regular for everyone here, like a daily routine which is why everyone looks so toned. But yea I had never really worked out, and omg I have been taking MM for 2 weeks now and I feel like the Hulk. No joke, this thing tastes so good I had 6 shakes one day, It can get very addicting. What adds to the addiction, is that you see results immediatly. My muscles have woken up, and the size of my muscles when im not flexing was the size of them when i was 2 weeks ago, its ridiculous. I didnt know a product could taste so AMAZING and be so beneficial. I just bought 3 more tubs of this chocolate flavor because its so good and i didnt want them to run out before i got me more haha. But yea, try this, you will not regret it, its amazing.

The only problem i see with the product is it has alot of calories so i only have 1-2 shakes instead of the reccomended 3-4. Also if u follow the reccomended 3-4 shakes a day which i tryed it will run out very fast so it could be pricy.

Muscle Milk is hands down the best protein complex out on the market. It has everything you need to gain precious muscle and at the same time burn stupid fat. I am a 16 year old health freak that eats all organic and pure foods, Muscle Milk 2 of my 8 daily meals. I take it either before or after a work out and then again before bed, so i don't lose muscle in my sleep. When i started muscle milk i was at 9% body fat and in 3 months, im down to 5% and last week just had a photo shoot and they were all asking me what i am doing diferent. Its the MUSCLE MILK BABY!! <3

i lost one inch February 22, 2006
Reviewer: Matthew from USA

I have been taking Muscle Milk for two weeks. I lost an inch off my waist and gained ~4 pounds. Of course I should mention I also started weight training (~45min/day) and cycling (~2hr/day). I ordered the Vanilla flavor and I liked the taste (my mom and sister like it too) so I decided to buy the orange creme and chocolate flavors too. After doing so I found out Muscle Milk contains sucralose and acesulfame potassium (two artificial sweeteners). Next time I order I will buy one of the natural flavors (chocolate and vanilla).

is good- not the best though February 16, 2006
Reviewer: Bigboobs from New York, NY

Maybe it was the flavours I tried (creme brulée, pina colada and rocky road) but I wouldn't say this product tastes that good or like a milk shake. Not as bad as some, definitely tolerable. I was hoping with the high fat content it would be able to taste a bit better instead of having the overly sweet taste. It does mix very well with just a spoon or a shaker. The product is a little high in calories, so I've tried mixing just one scoop and it comes out fine. I'll continue taking this and try a few different flavours but I'll still be trying different brands for one that taste GREAT!

When my football coach told me I had to bulk up more I stopped taking it and starting taking creatine. I did put on about 10 pounds but I gained back about 5 pounds of fat. Been taking muscle milk for about a month now and my biggest regret was to stop taking it in the first place. It taste great and shows all the results I could have ever hope for. Great product!

MMMM TASTY November 12, 2005
Reviewer: Mike from Staten Island, NY USA

The only way you can appreciate the taste of MuscleMilk, is to experience bad tasting protein which includes around 8/10 protein shakes. You might be turned off by the 16-17grams of fat and especially 8 grams that are saturated fat, but don't be worried, you do not get fat from this drink. These fats are burned as energy, not stored in the body. I recommend drinkig MM after your workout, but you can also drink it an hour before your workout to insure that you have the nutrients in your body to perform your best during your workout. I've seen people drink this during there workout insteade of a Gaterade because it has just enough carbs to give you energy to continue your workout. I would recommend taking some kind of sports drink with carbs during your workout, because water only hydrates you, meanwhile you need carbs in your body to make up for the ones you burn during your workout. I drink the ready to drink (RTD) MuscleMilk's, but the powder is the same thing. I like the chocolate milk, and mocha joe flavors the best.

Good Fat burner August 22, 2005
Reviewer: Brandon from Dallas, TX

A friend of mine told me about Muscle Milk. So, I decided to try it just to see what would happen. My first drink, I was amazed at how good it tastes...like really good! (my favorite was Chocolate/Chocolate Shake). I worked out (not hardcore strenuous), drank lots of water, and worked out. Within 3 weeks, I already noticed a difference, and so did everyone else. I am not saying that it will work that fast for you, but I could even feel the difference. I took the shake 1 hour before a workout, then immediately following a workout..then I'd take some before bed to metabolize. The price was a little expensive, but what harm does it do to drink an incredible tasting shake all of these times? Plus, on top of that, drink all the water you want? It's a great fix for the sweet tooth as well! I recently purchased a tub of chocolate Isopure, and I am honestly not all that thrilled to take it. Muscle Milk movitated me to keep working out and drinking it because it literally works and tastes very good. Be careful though...it can be as addicting as candy...and I'm not joking.

I take it before I go to sleep.I'm getting bigger with no gains in fat. I'm actually becoming more ripped and stronger. But with all supplements, you have to train hard and eat properly to actually see the effects.

I've been using this stuff for over a month and I'm loving it. In combination of anarobic and aerobic exercise workout routines, I've shed 10 lbs of fat and gained 14 lbs of muscle weight. Of course, this was due to the conjunction of using Vasostat but I completely love Muscle Milk. I'm already on my 6th tub and tried Banana Creme, Chocolate, and Cookies and Creme...I'd have to say my favorite is Banana Creme. I can't wait to try other flavors though.

Finally! July 15, 2005
Reviewer: Chris from Utah

Drinking a protein shake used to be a dreaded event for me. Plug the nose and chug it down as fast as I could, and feel sick afterwards. Everything I've ever tried was nasty. Until now! Muscle Milk tastes fantastic - and I don't mean "fantastic for a protein shake," I mean fantastic period. Can something really taste this great and still be good for you? Hope so!

Don't know about results yet as I've only been taking it for a week, but if the results are anything close to the taste, I'll be a happy man.

Tried: rootbeer float, peach mango, blueberries & cream, chocolate mint chip, and chocoloate. They're all great (rootbeer float is probably my favorite). I agree with the other reviewer - I much prefer the powder mixed in milk to the ready-to-drink.

Wish it were cheaper though...

Fats are Omega 3 fats July 13, 2005
Reviewer: Anthony from Indianapolis

The fat content of this particular shake reflect a balance of omega 3 fats. These fats are not stored as fat, but do "trick" your body into metabolizing stored fat.

This product not only tastes great, but fills the shoes of multiple products most would purchase seperately.

Muscle Milk tastes great! July 06, 2005
Reviewer: Smithson from Colorado, USA

If you're looking to burn fat and build lean muscle, Cytosport's Muscle Milk is the right product for you! It tastes great, and contains a decent amount of protein per serving. The only downside; cost. At about 30-35 dollars a tub, Muscle Milk might be considered a bit expensive to some. Also, Muscle Milk is designed to shed fat, not bulk you up, so if you're looking to gain some pounds, there are better products on the market.

Back to Concentrates June 08, 2005

I have been an avid user of Isopure, and will remain one, however, MM has a needed combo of top protein(oligopepetides and free aminos)in a concentrated form. That is OK when one needs a slower movement into the system--and the carb blend seems appropriate to hard workouts and recoveries. Great product.

Perfect Blend Protein Powder May 26, 2005
Reviewer: Steve Clark from Chicago, IL

This mix seems to have the perfect ratio of protein/ carbs/ calories for those looking to maintain (and gain) muscle. Coming in at 630 calories per serving, and about 32 g of protein- which is all your body can ingest anyway in one serving- I'd say it's perfect. I use it as a gainer and take 2 servings per day, and it's one of those that you can put in a shaker and mix. Its a light drink-- no thick, heavy gunk here-- and the flavors definately surpass any other-- creme brulee, mint choc chip, etc.

This one is a winner! February 24, 2005

Out of all the protein drinks I have choked down and gagged on for God knows how many years, I have finally found one that I can stick with. It has several key features that every other product is lacking: 1) It tastes incredible (the root beer float is absolutely killer), 2) When mixed, it doesn't fill a 64oz. container or take 3 days to drink, 3) There are enough varieties of flavors for everyone (and they actually taste like the flavors described on the container...novel concept!!!), 4) I can actually see results and feel anabolic almost all the time, 5) No medicinal or funny aftertaste, 6) No bloating or turbo-lax type results....I guess I can return my supply of Depends now!

Bottom line....forget cost. This is the easiest protein powder to stick with in your everyday training regimen. That alone is worth any price.

NOTE: Liked the powder much better then the pre-mixed drink.

A protein supp January 31, 2005

Muscle Milk is a good protein supplement and has a variety of flavors to choose from. I have tried the cookies and cream, chocalate milk, chocolate mint, creme bruilee and all are great. It is best at night or as a mid-day snack.

Best ever January 05, 2005
Reviewer: Louie from Tallahassee, Fl.

I have tried many, many different protein shake products. Most of them taste aweful. (I am not looking for a weight gainer, but for muscle growth and retention.) A friend gave me a jar of Muscle Milk (mint choc. chip) to try. Not only is it the best tasting formula on the market that I have tried, I can see results from supplementing with it already. On my 5th jar now.

Great stuff, who cares what it costs!

Yummy December 25, 2004

It took me awhile to actually get around to trying Muscle Milk because of the price and the fact that there are only 15 servings in a tub.. I am soo mad i waited this long, i purchased cookies and creme along with the chocolate milk flavor. I don't know what i would do without my cookies and cream shake with milk before bed, alittle high in fat but worth it. It is like the best dessert ever. if you have the funds i would give it a try.

The best high-calorie protein blend available December 20, 2004
Reviewer: Barry from Vancouver, WA

Muscle Milk is unique in that it is not marketed as a weight gainer. But when mixed with milk, gives almost 700 calories/serving. It has a great protein blend profile, quality ingredients, and is lower in sugar and fat than typical weight gainers. It is a wonderful blend to drink before bedtime, or first thing in the morning. The best thing about Muscle Milk: tastes far better than all other protein mixes and gainers, and it comes in about a million flavors. Chocolate Milk, Mocha Joe, and Blueberries 'n Cream are my favorites.

Incredible November 11, 2004

This is a great product. I am skeptical of everything but this is "the one". I love the taste of Myoplex protein shakes but this is even better. The "Vanilla Creme" taste like cake batter. I have not taken it long enough for results to show from it but, the taste is incredible if you are looking for a great tasting protein shake.
