Using MM For Over 1 Year Now
I had been stuck at 185-190lbs for many years. I started using MM as a post workout drink with Shotgun energy drink during the workouts. I am not at 214lbs, though probably4-5lbs more fat as well so fair to say I have gained close to 20lbs of muscle in a little more then a year. I attribute this an improved and consistant supplementation and diet program (eating 4-5 times a day) since my workouts are not all that different then I had been doing over the years.

Bottom Line: MM Works as advertised.

THE TRUTH ABOUT MUSCLE MILK
OK first off everyone is different so if it doesnt work for you it doesnt mean its bad some body types are different i would deff recommend this product to the people who ant gain weight easy, it will boost your weight quite a bit. FOr people who are trying to lose weight and build muscle at the same time listen its nearly impossable to do both now there are the few who can do it but unless you have all day to spend in the gym listen to me in order to gain mass or muscle you have to pack on a little bit of fat to but thats ok the fat can be burned off down the rode. this stuff is diffenitly a great way of getting protein i have been using it for a little over a year and a half and i have without a doubt noticed what MM can do i am bigger than i have ever been before i bench around 350 before muscle milk i did around 275. but i have to be honest i did gain a few extra pounds of fat in the process but in the end its well worth it. our bodys are a science and you have to learn but your body is able to handle i wouldnt suggest that you stricly use this product use whey protein eat healthy eggs, tuna, grilled or boiled chicken, steak is good every now and then good snacks are almonds, sunflower seeds, peanut butter on whole wheat bread. i would also recommend that water be your only other form of fluid intake. the truth is it has its negatives and positives in my opinon what in the world doesnt but in this case i think the positives outweight the negatives. again its just my opinion but i have been workin out for about 11 years now so hope this has been helpful..

gaining GOOD weight
muscle milk will make you gain weight if you use it. the weight you will gain is from muscle which weighs more than fat (everyone knows im just reinforcing that) i went from 120 lbs to 140 in a month and now im lean instead of just very skinny. its great tasting and it makes you feel great about yourself. i take it after my workout once a day and its working just fine

Everyone i know has noticed a difference in my body and especially my arms. I am a girl and i have tryed so many different diets and nothing worked so when i decided to just get toned and drink this muscle milk i actually lost more fat than i have on any other diet

really works and tastes great.
Im 16 years old almost 17 and I had barely any muscle at 114 lbs. I was on my high school's wrestling team which put me into hardcore shape, but with the limits of not going over my weight class. After wrestling I began eating and eating but still wasn't gaining a lb until I started HEAVY lifting and drinking muscle milk I weight about 125 now and pretty ripped but still skinny but thats okay because I might as well enjoy it while I can. Muscle Milk tastes great and works really well. I'd suggest it to everyone.

Most Excellent!
I started using this great stuff a month ago and the results are awesome! Not only do you get crazy energy after drinking MM for a workout, but the results are fantastic. I gained great muscle weight while maintaining a lean body. I've taken other Whey Protein powder before and i quess you have to trick up the body once in a while to get great results. Muscle Milk is AWESOME!

Great protein
I first used muscle milk about a year. I recently discovered "Muscle Milk Light".It only has 195 calories gives you 25g of protein and taste just as great as the orignal. Now if your watching your weight muscle milk light is for you. Someone that has heavy workouts and burns calories like crazy, might want to stick to the orignal. I can feel the fatigue through out the week with "Light". You might want to make up your calories with meals.

Great product
contains a good amount of protein and tastes good. This is obviously not just a magical muscle gainer you have to work out when you take it the only reason it has high calories is because it is replace some you should have burned off. i put two scoops chocolate flavor in about four cups milk and a big scoop of no salt peanut butter then a banana, and some egg white then blend it for about 30 seconds tastes great (the peanut butter has a lot of extra protein and makes it taste like a peanut butter cup).

Honest
People will go back and forth. Its funny cause the people who like it are pretty chill and let you know what it does for you. Then you have people who "know it all" and freak out on here about HOW BAD IT IS. Dumb. Its protein. It is very good. Tastes great. Its not going to boost your bench 100lbs. Its not going to make you a freak. Its not going to make you obese. As previously stated, take it in the right dose. If you are looking to lose weight---dont take it four times a day. And the people who say its bad and they use their "AWESOME" protein which im sure has its negatives as well, they probably put peanut butter or some other extra in theirs. Which actually exceeds calories already. When i run out of muscle milk i will probably get another just to switch off and then after that one is done I will probably return to MM. Your body can only consume 35 grams of protein. So dont load it up. Its 300 calories. Not 3200. So people who are intent about freaking you out....dont worry. MM is great and has GOOD fats. Im not trying to convince you that MM is for you... I like it, it works for me. I am a personal trainer and bust my ass in the gym. Reward yourself with a great protein drink. I use to be 350lbs. So I have potential to be fat. I dont have a hyper metabolism. I just work hard in the gym.

It works
I've been taking muscle milk for about 1 1/2 months and it has been doing awesome for me. I have a cycle of some other hardcore supps but i am waiting to take those untill my gains stop from the muscle milk. It seems like everytime i workout im gaining strength. Just bought 10 more pounds of this stuff, and it is also the best tasting protein ive ever tried (cookies and cream). I would definitely recommend muscle milk to others.

If its not working, its because youre not using it right.
Ill tell you this much and this goes with any supplement, if you take anything with protein and amino acids, there is a chance you might break out.. Its just an overload to your system and your hormones get all rallied up.. Hence’ acne breakouts. I’ve been into sport nutrition for a very long time.. ahh! Back when ephedra was available in most sports supplements. Muscle milk is a very good product BUT!! Just like any other product, everyone is different and you need to know how your body reacts and then measure your intake and see what works best for you. As for myself’ I have a slow metabolism and only take one dose instead of the three recommended and it works great. So I decided to test it out and get off of it for 3 months and WOW! Did I notice a difference. Does it work? Yes! But only if you use it correctly.. Oh! And one more thing, If you use any protein supplement and don’t work out’ you will gain weight.

I agree with most that the fat content can make you some what wary of the product. I have been taking muscle milk regulary for about 3 months now GNC has had a good sale on it for a while $25 for the 2.7 lb tub not only have I been able to continue to lower my body fat % but it has also shown to be a great post workout supplement. I've seen gains in all of my lifts an am convinced that the fat content in it is not a issue. Ive had best results by taking one scoop mixed with another regular whey protein taste is great and I am overall very happy with the product results.

Muscle Milk worked wonders for me
Muscle Milk tastes awesome, makes me feel like it's actually working, and when i last used it in conjunction with creatine i had massive gains. The reviews out there who said it had too much fat must not know a whole lot about nutrition. There's a difference between unhealthy fat and healthy fat. Such as Omega 3,6, and 9. Most of the fat in muscle milk will do the opposite of what you think. Just like the container says. I highly reccomend this protien. It works wonders, tastes great, and is packed with nutritional goodness.

You gotta know when your body needs it. AND...
figure out how much your body needs. At least that's how I got it to work for me. I didn't know too much about the product at first but a friend of mine introduced me to it about a year ago. I have been taking it on and off, depending on food intake and energy output. But yeah, just like everything else in life you want consistent, as in, the way you look... you gotta keep the MM consistent in your diet. Or not, but I firmly believe it works if you do. I'm preachin to the choir here but let me again remind you, everyone's body works differently. You need to know what part of your day you need to take it and how much energy output you're gonna use so you know exactly how much to take. I can't make it to the gym 5 days a week but after weeks of experimenting, I found the right amount to consume and the times that would be best to take it, depending on my workout schedule AND routine. I'm not saying there's something in my head telling me I need muscle milk, it's more like my body telling me. I eat normal food, I try to healthy food, whenever I'm hungry... and I eat till i'm satisfied, not till i'm full. Tough luck for those of you who aren't satisfied 'till you're full(that's probably where all the extra weight's comin from.) But when I do eat a lot of food I work harder in the weight room on those days. Take advantage of everything you put into your body! Don't let it turn into fat. I think that the "good fats" in MM work for my body. It's very important NOT to be a lazy slob and lay around all day. If you want something that produces results try it out, but do it right. Also, take a few days off while experimenting with it, tweak and toggle your workouts take a day or two off MM, or even working out, first try the directions. I personally just use MM and only MM. I believe in it. Peace everyone, hope it works for you and lets you put muscle where you want to put it.

Cheese burgers taste good too...
Wow a lot of fat and not a lot of protein (per gram). Yeah it tastes good but so do cheese burgers. I don't know about you but I would rather eat a burger off the grill than to drink MM. There are other powders out there with more protein and less fat and a better amino acid profile.

Tastes very good
Best tasting protein drink out there.

In the past I have had digestive trouble (gas, bloated feeling, etc) from protein/whey drinks.. I found that Muscle Milk is less trouble than the others. And I found that the Orange Creme flavor of Muscle Milk mixes perfect with an orange-flavor fiber powder supplement. Just a tablespoon of the fiber powder added to the Muscle Milk = vastly improved digestion and no feelings of bloat/discomfort. You can use Metamucil or a drugstore generic brand.

My other tip on Muscle Milk: for better mixing without a blender, add very little water at first, and mix it into a smooth paste (like cake batter). Then add the rest of the water/milk and keep mixing. No clumps!

wow
Roger,
i am glad u shared ur knowledge with us about MM.
i am not gonna lie, but i did do my fair share of research, but i guess some could be baised. i will not argue with you, because, well, this is your job, thus i would be a fool, to go against your years of learning vs. a couple of articles i read online.
but what i do want to know is, what supplements do you recomond to your patients, that you feel do work and don't have probaganda???

once again, thanks a lot Roger,
and sorry if my bais confused anyone.

ps. since i am bulking i feel it has worked fine by me, i did loose some fat, but that could be because i added some cardio.

Most reviews have fallen victim to propaganda
Muscle Milk (Cytosport) is the ultimate propaganda machine. I am a registered dietician and I construct diets for many well known athletes (including bodybuilders and powerlifters). I would never have one of my clients on this stuff, even during an all-out bulking phase. Most the reviewers below me have fallen victim to their MCT "fat burning" propaganda. Maxx specifically, I would like to address:

Maxx: "many people complain to me that muscle milk has too much fat, and saturated fat. but in reality, i want u to look at the bottom of the ingredents, and it will say, "** 80% of saturated fats are in the form of medium chain triglycerides (MCT's)."

Yes it does say that, but is it true? Look at the older labels (they changed the labels after a few of us called them on the discrepancy). Turn to the back and read where it says "20% of human milk and MUSCLE MILK lipids are from MCT's". Lipids are fats, the total fat in Muscle Milk is 18g per serving. 20% of that is 3.6g... meanwhile 80% of the saturated fat would be 6.4g... which number is it? Why can't they get their story straight?

Maxx: "MCT's are typically burned as energy and show little or no propensity for storage as body fat or as a contributor to arteriosclerosis."

Me: Again your just reading the label and falling victim to false label claims. MCT's are typically burned as energy. HOWEVER, by adding MCT's to your blood stream and burning them you prevent your body from accessing stored lipids (fats) during the course of your workout as easily. Thus MCT's do indirectly cause you to gain fat because you will be burning stored fats at a much slower rate.

Maxx: "if u did research, u will know that MCT is probably one of the best fat burners with no side effects, and will not get u fat. so if u r getting fat check ur diet."

Me: I understand that you have been fooled my MM, but please don't pretend you have done any research other than reading the label. Since when is a saturated fat considered a "fat burner"? MCT's will cause you to keep your stored bodyfat, and yes they do have PLENTY of side effects. The "no side effects" claim is outrageous and really flat out dangerous. MCT's in large amounts can stress the liver and kidneys, and they can also raise serum cholesterol and triglyceride levels, along with the hormonal effects with the excess saturated fats (as detailed by those further down complaining of acne). Though I agree if you are dieting and working out and still gaining fat you should check your diet. But the first step should be to remove Muscle Milk and use a better protein/ carbohydrate meal replacement that includes vitamins, fiber, low sugar content, and a moderate amount of GOOD fats (sunflower oil, flaxseed, palm fruit, safflower, etc.).

Just started with Muscle Milk
I just started taking Muscle Milk (Orange Cream flavor). I have to admit I was scared by the fat grams until I did some research. The flavor is great and I'm anxious to see if there's any noticeable diffference between this and Syntha-6 by BSN.

Xyience copied muscle milk!!!
I got muscle milk a month ago and honestly was trying to lose weight during the process of gaining muscle. To dat ive lost 15 pounds or so and the taste is off the heezy. I was innitailly worried about the fat content in it as i was truying to lose the wiehgt. Right now I mix one sccoop of muscle milk with one scoop of regular low fat isolates and it still taste awesome...!! And you get all the benefits of muscle milk. But now that i have seen weight loss and muscle gain I am less afraid to just be drinking the muscle milk alone. It is the best shit on the market.! Ive notice as well that Xyience used by the UFC has created Muscle Meal...a complete copy of muscle milk. It is exactly the same stuff with tthe same claims...IF Xyience uses there formula its gootaaa be good for you PERIOD

I've tried other products but this is definitely the best tasting one EVER!! Plus the energy is off the charts I am working out twice as much as i normally do because of it. My normal routine was one hour power walking and one hour swimming laps in my pool I lost 3 pounds in one week an I am seeing my arms legs and belly muscles really starting to show. It's awesome!!! Just watch what you eat I just use my juicer to make veggie or fruit juice in between the muscle milk. I love it!!

weight gain vs. fat loss results
I want to clear something up for people who are worried about gaining weight with this(if your goal is to lose). Muscle weighs more than fat, with respect to volume. Just because the scale says u put on weight doesn't mean u gained fat. Pay more attention to the mirror than to the scale. I am a slim person, but once I really got into lifting i slimmed down more but I also put on weight, simply because muscle weighs more. So don't worry so much about what the scale is telling you.
